Pink Clams au Gratin

Machas a la Parmesana

Pink clams (also known Surf clams) covered in parmesan cheese, quite a famous dish in Chile. This exquisite preparation is truly delicious and incredibly easy.

 

Ingredients

2 cans of machas

2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese

3 slices of cheese (any other kind)

1/4 cup of white wine

Cream. Optional

Butter. Optional

Preparation

Heat the oven beforehand, with the heat only coming from the top.

Put them in a baking tray, cover each one with a small cube of butter, a little wine, cream and salt and pepper to taste.

Cover all of them with cheese.

Put them in the oven for a few minutes and remove them as they start to turn pink.

Carefully remove them from the oven and serve immediately.
